"You, perhaps, may be overthinking things."

Loki presents the suggestion delicately--perhaps deceptively so. He doesn't expect her to miss it, though.

She shrugs, setting aside the last bite of her brie and cracker. She can't bring herself to finish it.

"Maybe. Professional hazard."

"I suppose it is."

Loki laughs, reaching out with long fingers to steal that last bite, popping it into his mouth.

"I'm kind of jealous of you being able to do that."

[trickor]

Loki raises an eyebrow, curious. "Do which, exactly?"

[outstandingbalance]

"Eat without feeling sick."

[trickor]

"Ah," he says, and it all makes sense. "It does help, I'll admit, that I am not exactly the same as what you are."

"I got that impression. But something similar."

[trickor]

"Something similar, yes."
